Safe from the Sun Walk & 5K Run

The Villanova Safe from the Sun event was created to celebrate the lives of those who we have lost and those fighting melanoma. At the Safe from the Sun Walk & 5K Run, inside the Villanova Pavilion, we enjoy the kids dash kick-off, the 2 mile walk and the 5k race that winds around Villanova’s beautiful campus. Other inside activities include our skin cancer screening by dermatology professionals, a kids’ corner filled with fun activities, and a health & wellness expo. All funds from this event go to keeping our family/patient hotline/email assistance and patient forum running and to spread our mission through effective education programs for all ages.
